The map below shows the counties where former Kansas City area residents moved to.

There is a clear concentration in the surrounding counties, especially in the Lake of the Ozarks area to the southeast of the metro. Heavy out-flow to the Phoenix, Dallas, Denver and southern California areas are also evident.
