Kansas City Area Migration Report 1994-2004

In the mid-1800's thousands of settlers passed through what is now the Kansas City area on their way west looking for new opportunities. Today, opportunities are available throughout the country and in fact, throughout the world. People are still leaving Kansas City looking for opportunity elsewhere, but, for even more people, the trails they are taking looking for opportunity are ending, not beginning in Kansas City.

This report will provide some insight into Kansas City's recent migration patterns such as:
