Talent-to-Industry Exchanges (TIEs)

help ensure that employees in key industries have the skills needed to meet the changing needs of businesses.

These public/private partnerships succeed by:

  • Bringing disparate groups together to solve workforce problems.
  • Harnessing the expertise of leaders in business, labor, education, economic development and other sectors.
  • Convening competitors within specific industries for greater economic impact.

Community Objectives

A RESOURCE... that defines labor demand, education and community assets, talent development gaps and provides strategies to meet specific regional needs.

A SYSTEM... where industry needs are systematically shared with educational institutions for the purpose of creating new education opportunities.

A WORKFORCE... with the skills and training needed by industry, and clearly defined career pathways for both degree and non-degree occupations.

We invite businesses in the Skilled Trades industries to complete a short survey (approximately 35 questions) about current employment and future talent needs.

Please click on the link that takes you to the
appropriate survey for your job role:

CEO/Principal/Managing Partner »

Human Resources Director »

Superintendent »

All Roles Combined »

Please complete your survey by Friday, Oct. 12, at 5 p.m.

The workforce questions will be used to inform curriculum/program development activities of regional education providers across the educational continuum – from preschool through college. The final analysis is also expected to inform outreach strategies to strengthen the talent pipeline. Your input will provide important data to guide development of educational programs that will produce trained workforce for the construction and industrial trades. The survey is expected to take 10 minutes or less.

Information from this survey will be combined to reflect the trends, challenges and opportunities in the construction and industrial trades. Combined results will be published in a labor analysis and made available to regional educational organizations, policy makers, and economic development professionals. Individual company data will not be included in the published labor analysis. Any questions or concerns regarding this survey may be directed to Sheri Gonzales Warren at 816-701-8308.

Many thanks in advance for your participation.
