Project Description: As Leavenworth County and Basehor have continued to grow, there has become an increasing need for an additional interchange in the southeast quadrant of the County providing direct access to I-70. The project will also provide an improved bike/ped connection from Basehor across I-70, implementing a section of Regional Bikeway Plan in Leavenworth County (first dedicated multi-use path across I-70 in Leavenworth County).
Scope: The proposed 158th & I-70 access ramps will serve all modes of traffic when constructed. The project length will be approximately one mile inclusive of acceleration and deceleration lanes on all four quadrants. The project will include protected bicycle pedestrian facilities across I-70, the first of their kind in Leavenworth County.
