Project includes new sidewalks where none currently exist and a new shared path to connect to the Citys existing trail system and eventually the City of Blue Springs trail system via project number 1036. Project will also connect residential areas to commercial and the Downtown Grain Valley.

Project Description: Project consists of new turn lanes, street reconstruction, sidewalks, shared pathway, improved drainage, and mitigation area preservation. Primary users consist of motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists.
Scope: Reconstruct the roadway to add curb and gutter, underground drainage which will allow the addition of sidewalks and a shared pathway. The project also includes adding turn lanes at Grain Valley High School/Kirby Road, Cross Creek Drive, NW Jackie Ave a continuous left turn from Sni-A-Bar Blvd. to Minter Road. Widen existing bridge east of Jackie Ave to accommodate the new sidewalk and shared path. Connect shared path to existing Blue Branch Trail with the completion of project 1036.
