I support the upgrade of Gillham Rd to conform with the Bike Connections plan, but am discouraged that the project would not start for potentially 2 decades, causing the project to use 20 year old data. I would fully support if the project happens in the next 5-10 years.

Please accelerate the implementation of this project. Gillham Road is an important bicycle connection, and the separated bicycle facilities improved under this project will improve the bicycle transportation experience.

I’m concerned that widening the road will cause Gillham road to be more heavily sought after as a route, inviting more traffic. Gillham Park could see more pollution and noise, and I’d like planners to consider more implementation of trees and green infrastructure to offset more traffic as well as usage of the park by thru traffic. Gillham playground and the surrounding areas need more attention and maintenance as well as the intersections at 41st and 39th which are extremely dangerous.
