I support the Grand Blvd reconstruction project. As someone who regularly uses Grand, the upgrades and separated bike facilities would present a much safer configuration than currently exists. Many drivers ignore lane markings or drift due to distraction, endangering those who are utilizing the current bike lanes. Protected facilities would create a safer environment for all, encouraging new users and discouraging the utilization of faster moving modes on sidewalks.

The existing street design allows car users to drive in the bike lane. This change will provide safety for users.

As a daily commuter along Grand Boulevard and predominantly via bike, I strongly support redesigning Grand to be more pedestrian and bike friendly.
