The project will provide a direct connection between industrial areas along MO 210 Highway and the Ford Stamping Plant and manufacturing facility. The direct connection will provide consistent truck delivery times for suppliers and remove large trucks from adjacent interstate system. The roadway will also provide sidewalks for pedestrians.

Project Description: The Hughes Road project will connect South Liberty Parkway in Liberty to Arlington Avenue in Kansas City and will provide a freight connection between the Ford manufacturing facility, automotive suppliers and automotive related businesses. The project will also connect the Ford manufacturing facility with the large adjacent industrial area East of I-435 and North of MO 210.
Scope: The project will construct a 4 lane Arterial Roadway that will include a bridge to cross a major stream and a railroad thereby connecting the two industrial areas. The project will be 2.5 miles in length and provide pedestrian facilities.

Improving and connecting Hughes Rd with Arlington will provide needed industrial access. With little agriculture and few homes here, it should be easy to develop the area.
