Parking. To support pedestrians. Parking is for drivers. Public money should not be spent on parking.

I do not support building more parking. We need to rethink transportation in Johnson County, especially along the metcalf corridor. Spend money on making Downtown OP more pedestrian friendly, bike friendly, and consider alternative projects such as a rail system or street car. Building more parking and streets for more cars does not consider the people element. Parking is a huge waste of space and is not sustainable. Density is not bad. STOP BUILDING PARKING GARAGES! Its a outdated way of thinking in terms of transportation planning. Plan for people, NOT cars.
