Project will include new sidewalks, bike facilities, evaluation of transit expansion in coordination with KCATA, limited freight movement, new curb and gutter, vertical alignment modifications to improve roadway safety, and establishment of a standard cross section to accommodate context sensitive street design and promote private economic development.

Project Description: Primary users will motorists, pedestrians, bikes, transit users, and limited freight. Typical cross section will consist of 5 foot sidewalks on each side of the roadway and striped on-street bike lanes in each direction.
Scope: 1. Users will include motorists, bicyclists, pedestrians, transit users, limited freight. 2. Project will primarily consist of 2 lanes between NW Englewood Road and NW 68th Street. City will evaluate potential road diet between NW 68th Street and NW 72nd Street to reduce from 4 lanes to 2 lanes with a center turn lane a bike lanes in each direction. 3. Total project length = 10,300 feet

This project will be very high (positive) impact and has great chances of being high "return-on-investment." This project should be funded and built much sooner than requested. ASAP!
