This intersection definitely needs improvements. NE 72nd St always back up during peak hours because of the terrible lane configuration. A sidewalk on the south side of NE 72nd St is also needed.

I have traveled through this intersection many times and while the configuration of the intersection is poor, this project will not solve the existing problems but only replace them with new ones at a cost of $1.7 million. The requested sidewalk is a very needed improvement and a very small piece of the requested budget...this piece should be funded. The adding of additional car lanes is unnecessary as 72nd Street already has excessive capacity. Money would be better spent changing 72nd from its current 4-lane configuration to a 3-lane configuration as was done in the area nearby on NE Barry Rd between N Troost Ave and N Highland Ave.

I live quite close to this intersection, use it several times a week and do not consider it congested except during rush hour. The sidewalk is needed as I do see many pedestrians on that section.

This is one of the most dangerous intersections in Gladstone generating the most accidents. Improving the intersection will save lives.

This intersection definitely needs improvement. There have been several accidents recently and this would help. The site lines on south bound Highway 1 approaching the stoplight at 72nd are horrible.

This is probably the most congested intersection in Gladstone. The additional protected turn lanes will ease congestion and accidents. The adjacent commercial land-use increases the short-term priority of this project.

This intersection is high traffic and dangerous. Upgrades to this intersection will make it much safer and improve the flow of traffic. This project should be high priority.

This intersection can be difficult to navigate at times when traffic volume is high.Having the sidewalk on the south side of the street would be a huge improvement.
