This project will add a thru lane on the I-70 corridor in both the EB and WB directions thus increasing capacity of the highway and meet existing and future travel demands along this busy corridor. This improvement is expected to reduce congestion in the project area and improve mobility, access and connectivity which will benefit motorists ad freight shippers alike.

Project Description: This project will add a thru lane on the I-70 corridor in both the EB and WB directions thus increasing capacity of the highway and meet existing and future travel demands along this busy corridor. This improvement is expected to reduce congestion in the project area and improve mobility, access and connectivity which will benefit motorists ad freight shippers alike.
Scope: The intent of this project is to construct I-70 Eastbound to a 3-Lane Freeway section and to construct I-70 Westbound to a 3-Lane Freeway section. This project includes completion of the westbound CD road along I-70. Primary users of I-70 are motorists and freight shippers and in the future can accommodate transit should a route be put into service in the future.
