)
The design of this project accomodates motorists and freight vehicles. This project will add capacity and reduce bottlenecks at K-7/I-70 by eliminating 4 at-grade signals and replacing with grade seperations. Bike/ped crossings are included with the two interchanges at Kansas Ave and 130th Street thus improving safety and mobility for those crossing at those locations. This improvement is expected to improve mobility, access, and connectivity to regional activity centers and destinations for motorists ad freight shippers. Transit currently does not operate in the corridors, but the facility would accommodate service in the future should it be initiated.
