Project Purpose: * System operations and management )
Project Description: The intent of the project is to improve travel times and reduce congestion for the primary users of motorists and freight. However, bike/ped improvements will also enhance non-motorized transportation.
Scope: Travel time improvements could include: Adding turn lanes which would increase the capacity of the turning movment and could improve signal phasing and timing. Extending turn lanes which would prevent blocking of thru lanes. Building alternative interchanges (such as Diverging Diamond, roundabout) would improve intersection capacity. Flashing Yellow Arrow would improve signal coordination.
