3. Routes, interchanges and/or intersections: Various routes throughout the MARC region based on the determined need at the time of implementation.

Designated bicycle lanes, ADA upgrades and improved pedestrian accommodations could be included in this project as well strategies to improve operations for motorists and freight.

9. Project description: The intent of the project is to improve travel times and reduce congestion for the primary users of motorists and freight. However, bike/ped improvements will also enhance non-motorized transportation.
10. Scope: Travel time improvements could include: Adding turn lanes which would increase the capacity of the turning movment and could improve signal phasing and timing. Extending turn lanes which would prevent blocking of thru lanes. Building alternative interchanges (such as Diverging Diamond, roundabout) would improve intersection capacity. Flashing Yellow Arrow would improve signal coordination.

Project schedule: These improvements will be implemented in various projects, some of which are already included in MoDOTs STIP, others will be implemented further in the future based on need and resources. It is expected that these may be implemented throughout the timeframe of the LRTP from 2020-2050.
