Project Description: |
The existing roadway is a partially improved roadway that will be widened on the existing alignment with the addition of a center two-way left turn lane, curb and gutter, enclosed storm drain system. A multi-use path is proposed on the north side of the roadway and a sidewalk is proposed along the south side of the roadway. Primary users include multi-modal transportation users with improved access to Fire Station, Parks, Elementary Schools, Little Blue Trace Trail & Nature Preserve, and Transit stops located on US-24 highway.
|
Scope: |
This project will serve multiple transportation users along a 4.7-mile segment of roadway connecting residential, commercial, and activity center facilities with a 3 lane facility between Susquehanna Ridge and M-7 Highway with improvements including bicycle and pedestrian facilities throughout. Improvements are in close proximity to Fire Station #6 at the east end of the project, which will provide improved response times and safety to incoming and outgoing responses from Bundschu Road.
