NW Crooked Rd., as it exists today, is an undivided, two-lane road without any shoulders, access control, turn lanes, or sidewalks and other pedestrian improvements. For years Parkville residents have requested this road be improved so pedestrians have dedicated infrastructure, do not have to walk in the shoulders, and are protected from motor vehicles.

Project Description: Improve the safety of Crooked Rd. by widening the road, adding curb & gutter stormwater management infrastructure, 3-lane sections where necessary, turn lanes, and improving sight distance conflicts along the roadway.
Scope: Specific improvements include the addition of sidewalks along the roadway, delineated crosswalks across NW Crooked Road, additional turning lanes where right-of-way allows, and curb and gutter improvements to eliminate drainage issues and stormwater runoff along NW Crooked Rd.
