NW Bell Road, as it exist today, is an undivided, two-lane road without any shoulders, access control, turn lanes, or sidewalks and other pedestrian improvements. For years Parkville residents have requested this road be improved so pedestrians have dedicated infrastructure, do not have to walk in the shoulders, and are protected from motor vehicles.

Project Description: Addition of sidewalks and curb & gutter stormwater management infrastructure along a 0.9-mile stretch of NW Bell Rd., where none currently exist. This is in order to improve safety, mobility, stormwater management and multimodal accessibility. Includes 5 ft. sidewalks.
Scope: Specific improvements include the addition of sidewalks along the road, delineated crosswalks across Bell Rd., and curb & gutter stormwater management infrastructure where none currently exist.
