Black Bob Rd is an arterial street that connects commercial and residential developments. Bike lanes, shared use paths, and sidewalks will be constructed. Black Bob is a truck route. With an enhanced roadway system transit routes can be expanded.
Project Purpose: * System expansion (added capacity) * System preservation, rehabilitation or replacement )
Project Description: Widen Blackbob from 127th Street to 135th Streetfrom 4 lanes to 6 lanes (Approximately 1 mile) Adding additional thru and turn lanes. Installing bike lanes. Installing sidewalks and shared use paths. Expected outcomes are added capacity, reduced and more reliable travel times, safer travel for all modes of transportation.
Scope: *Widen Widen Blackbob from 127th Street to 135th Streetfrom 4 lanes to 6 lanes. (Approximately 1 mile) This will add capacity for motorists and improve travel times. Adding turn lanes at each intersection will also improve safety & capacity. *New Sidewalk or Shared Use Path constructed on each side of the street will provide safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.
