Active Transportation, Freight, Transit, this is an arterial street that connects commercial and residential developments to I-35. The Citys 2016 Transportation Master Plan identified 119th Street for future shared use path. With an enhanced roadway system transit routes can be expanded.

Scope: |
(Approximately 1 mile) This project will widen 119th Street between Black Bob Road and Pflumm Road from four-lane to six-lane street. Improvements will include pavement, medians, curb and gutter, storm sewer, street lights, landscaping, and all work pertinent to completing the project. This will add capacity for motorists and improve travel times. Adding turn lanes at each intersection will also improve safety and capacity. New Sidewalk and/or Shared Use Path will be constructed on each side of the street will provide safety for pedestrians and bicyclists.
