Desired Results Development Profile (DRDP) Training

Learn how to use the DRDP instrument to improve children's educational outcomes.

The DRDP instrument is designed for teachers to observe, document and reflect on the learning, development and progress of children who are enrolled in early care and education programs. Results are used by the teacher to plan curriculum and to guide continuous program improvement. This training is appropriate for all staff, providers, and administrators working with children birth to age five, including children with special needs.

Benefits to using this instrument:

  • Teachers have current information to help plan children’s learning activities.
  • Programs have information to improve their services.
  • Families know more about their child’s development and ways to support learning.

The first day of the training will include an orientation to the DRDP instrument and instructions on how to use the DRDP for documentation of a child’s development. On day two, participants will learn how to conduct meaningful observation while becoming more proficient at using the DRDP instrument.

There are 30 slots available and lunch will be provided. Participating teachers will receive a certificate and earn clock hours. Please register by clicking on the desired date. Contact Susan Duffey at 816-701-8324 if you need additional information.
