The $25 registration fee includes printed copies of MARC's latest workforce reports. For an additional $10, attend a networking lunch after the event.

The Summit will feature:

  • A new report that highlights the current state of career tech education in the region, including best practices both locally and nationally. (A printed copy is included with the $25 registration fee.)
  • A presentation on the integration of professional competencies, with discussion around a Common Sector Competency report that was released last year (kcworkforce.org/reports).
  • A panel of corporate representatives who will share their contributions to developing talent.

James Stone, director of the National Research for Career and Technical Education at the Southern Regional Education Board, will give the keynote address, “Creating High-Quality Career Pathways." Dr. Stone has published articles and spoken on the need to build a better system to link educational training to business needs.

Representatives from colleges, universities and school districts, K-12 intermediaries, businesses, local governments, civic organizations and others interested in the connections between workforce, education and the regional economy.
