Basic CAMEO

Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations

SPONSORED BY THE MID-AMERICA LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE THROUGH HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS (HMEP) GRANT FUNDS

Training Overview:

This 8-hour course on basic CAMEO software operations is offered on three different days.

Course Objectives:

  • Obtain chemical information from CAMEO chemicals and operating the Reactivity Worksheet
  • Look up Tier II facilities in CAMEOfm
  • Import shape files and other map files to the MARPLOT mapping software
  • Simple air dispersion modeling for planning purposes using ALOHA software
  • Conduct risk analysis for chemical hazards

Equipment Requirement:

  • Wireless internet enabled laptop with CAMEO suite installed or capability to install CAMEO software
